Registration for
PROFESSIONALS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES
Assessment of the professional experience of an applicant for registration in the area of activities related to the profession, as an exceptional alternative to carrying out a Professional Apprenticeship (see Annex III of the registration regulations).
Registration for professionals from other states is aimed at the following candidates with professional experience:
1. those who exercise the profession in another EU member state, provided that they submit proof of registration as an architect issued by the competent authorities in their state of origin, can prove 12 months of professional experience following registration and hold one of the following academic degrees:
a) Degree or equivalent diploma in architecture, certified on a date prior to the entry into force of DL no. 74&2006, of 24 March;
b) Master's degree in architecture, pursuant to DL no. 74/2006, of 24 March;
c) Formal qualification in architecture registered in European Directive 2005/36/EC, of 7 September, under the terms defined in Section 8-Architect.
2. those who exercise the profession of architect in a country not belonging to the EU, in the case of reciprocal agreements between OA counterpart professional organisations, or as envisaged in agreements that are binding to the Portuguese State, provided that they submit proof of registration as an architect issued by the competent authority in their country of origin, proving twelve months of professional experience after registration, who are legally present in Portugal and meet one of the following conditions:
a) They hold an academic degree pursuant to the previous item;
b) They obtain equivalence for their degree under the terms of current legislation.

Degree course or Qualification Certificate (pre-Bologna - 5 years) or Integrated Master of Architecture certificate (post-Bologna). Or a formal qualification in architecture registered in European Directive 2005/36/EC, of 7 September, under the terms defined in Section 8 - Architect (upload)

The summary CV must be exclusively related to architecture activities. In addition to general descriptions of projects, the levels of responsibility exercised in the projects in question should be included. Due to the fact that only two pages are available, it is recommended that a summary should be provided by choosing projects that best represent the professional skills that are exercised.
Payment of €200 as the registration fee, in accordance with article 8, item 9 (Payments) of the Registration Regulations (RR).
